Boatability no longer offers the 1 day PWC (Jetski) - Personal Water Craft course but can certainly put you in touch with one of our training partners who would be delighted to help you. However, If you intend using a small tender off the back of a larger boat then as an alternative some people like to take the 2 Day RYA Level 2 Powerboat course, which will allow you to use a small tender and a powerboat up to 10mts in length on the International Certificate of Competence (ICC).  

What The Course Will Cover:

Typically on completion of the RYA PWC (Jetski) - Personal Water Craft course you can expect cheaper insurance premiums and access to further training with in the RYA syllabus. 
  • Safety Equipment - Helmets/Buoyancy 
  • PWC controls, how it works and steering system 
  • Pre and post use checks / Launch & recovery 
  • Handling at slow and high speed / handling exercises / Man Overboard Procedures 
  • Anchoring, beaching and towing of toys / skiers 
  • Basic Navigation 
  • Essential safety information (Responsibilities around harbours) 
  • Rule of the Road (Collision Regulations) 
  • Orientation at sea  
  • Capsize drills 
  • Care & maintenance
