What is the RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course?
Designed for anyone looking to operate small powerboats in daylight hours on coastal and inland waters, the RYA Level 2 is a practical, confidence-boosting course that covers everything from launching and recovery to slow-speed manoeuvres, man overboard drills, chart work, and more.
Taught in English, the course runs from 9am to approximately 5pm over two days, with a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 3:1 – ensuring plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout.
Successful candidates receive the RYA Powerboat Level 2 Powerboat Handling Certificate, which can be used to apply for your ICC – a must if you’re planning to boat abroad.
