RYA Training Courses are available from Boatability. Powerboat training courses are available both theory and practical from RYA level 1 and level 2 through to the intermediate and advanced powerboat courses.
Boatability is a recognised RYA Powerboat Training School which covers a wide range of coastal and land based courses for power boats. Please ask if you don't see the course you are looking for as we can normally still schedule the course you are looking for.
RYA powerboat Level 2 is our most popular course and many children start with RYA powerboat level 1. We also run Intermediate powerboat courses and of course the RYA Advanced Powerboat courses. Cruising, First Aid, Sea Survial and of course VHF / DSC .
In Europe now you must have your ICC (International Certificate of Competence). Without an ICC in France, Spain or indeed most mainland European countries you may well find you and your boat detained for a significant amount of time! Boatability can assess you on your own boat for the ICC or award and ICC after successful completion of a number of powerboat training courses.
 Boatability have a wide range of power boats available for you that few other powerboat training centers can match. That means you can start off on one type of boat and we can train you on a wide range of different boats. Multiple engines, single engines and different hulls enable you to get additonal experience as you learn.
Our classroom training environment in which we deliver the RYA training courses at are we believe the very best in the whole country. Based in the ground floor of the Lock Office at Port Solent Marina overlooking the lock practial demonstrations are available of good and bad techniques are normally running all day - just outside the classroom window..!

Training courses from Boatability go well beyond just getting a course completion certificate or a badge. We aim to make sure that you can apply what you learn.
Power boat courses sometimes comes with certificates recognised by the RYA or BSAC. We aim to go beyond this and offer training on essential but frequently overlooked areas. For example trailering and own boat tuition where you will be taught how to handle your trailer or boat taking into account all of its features and capabilities.
